4>4 Personal answerI really cannot trust the government and its "official words." I am a veteran. I briefly worked as a federal employee. I was hired to operate analytical equipment in an NIH lab. The departmental director cracked down by ruling the equipment was to be operated "by doctors only." I was downgraded to pouring and storing blood, urine and tissue samples. The program I was assigned to turned out to have a lot of crookedness and corruption involved. I just got mad and quit. A few months later, Senator Hatch was all over it with investigations. If I had stayed for the "wonderful lifetime job security," guess who would have been the "fall guy." Veteran Affairs is notoriously abusive of veterans. Even, back in 1972, after my discharge, my fellow veterans were referring to it as "the enemy." Looking at all of this, how can the government be trusted to do anything right? |

4>4 Personal answerI propose this amendment to the U.S. Constitution: No candidate for federal elective office shall be eligible without first having served full time a minimum of two years in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. Full Information on the details of such service shall be openly and publicly made available as part of the candidate's campaign literature for the voters to examine. Some of the most-told lies stated by politicians is, "I serve in Congress" or "I serve in the Senate." No, they do not serve us, they only serve their wealthiest supporters. With this amendment, we will have congressmen and se3ators, who actually know what it is to serve. What we have now are a bunch of irrelevancies dragging this country down. |
