Institutional racism is a myth

The conviction rate is higher because they’ve been in poorer conditions, thanks largely to discrimination in the past. Most of the ghettos and broken down cities in which poor black populations are concentrated have been left largely untouched while still feeling the effects of racial segregation and discrimination in the past. We’ve signed laws against discrimination, but that didn’t even come CLOSE to killing its effects. Poverty creates a recursive system of violence, crime, and self-perpetuating culture inside those zones. They got used to poverty, and our spending to try and assist failed to get ingrained enough to be anything more than a welfare trap that ignored the issues of continually assisting and helping those communities. They’re dealing with systemic racism and stereotypes because of the echoes of our past that created these impoverished zones, that in turn made cultures and violence that exacerbated stereotypes and falsehoods about an entire race. That’s why most black people vote democrat, because they’re the only ones even offering the possibility of helping them out of that cultural trap using just money. Conservative black people have a very “bootstraps” mentality, but the solution is to have BOTH. Use the money to reduce the issue, and enforce the capability for them to be entrepreneurial and self-sustaining, let’s paint THAT as the goal for them, while giving them the funding to make it possible. They can’t just leave the poor areas when they feel like it, and welfare, which was supposed to be used to support them in need, turned into a lifesaver to let them do as they please with just enough to live, while doing nothing to get out of poverty. That’s why both the mentality and the spending are important, the Great Society missed that, and so does your logic. The victim mentality was a response to the stereotypes, it was easy, simple even, but that’s what we need to break. We need to empower them, help correct our past wrongs by getting black people from those areas a seat at the table of helping their communities in those poorer zones. They can succeed, but it’s harder precisely because of the effects of the past, that’s what progressives mean to target, but most go for the easy and simple virtue signaling route. We need to cure racism at its source: inequality, poverty, and criminal Justice. That’s what stops the institutional aspect from being as strong. Politicians need to listen to the voice of the people in those areas, which is why local governments most go bottom-up to elect leaders who do have the “bootstraps” mentality in order to make change. Those local politicians must also understand the value welfare can hold for those communities, or nothing will change at all. I’m aware of Candace Owens, she’s a nutcase. She turned to the pro-Palestine side, but it was far more to the “Hitler was right” side rather than the “stop the colonialism” side.
