“Marriage isn't what the LGBT community is after; they are after the decision based welfare that goes along with "legal" marriage (i.e. marriage tax breaks, group insurance). Otherwise they have been free to be "married" in the traditional sense, for years. I'm single, why should I support another group of people in their push to make me pay a higher tax rate, higher insurance rate and so forth. I'm not against anyone being married - but it's a choice they make and should not have anything to do with taxes/insurance and the like.”
