“Remove the sales tax and increase INCOME TAX instead. At least people with jobs would not be hurt as much as those with jobs having to pay sales tax. Perhaps consider gross sales tax on the merchants instead and get rid of the sales tax to consumers. Either way the state will still get the revenue.”
