Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) accused pro-Palestine protesters of engaging in “hate speech” on Monday and warned they would not be “tolerated” in his state.
Reacting on Fox News’ Fox & Friends to the ongoing student protests across the United States, Stitt told co-host Brian Kilmeade, “We stand with Israel. They’re our greatest ally in the Middle East.”
“But you and I get that. It used to be common knowledge,” replied Kilmeade. “Does it bother you that 900 arrested, dozens of schools around the country feel differently? They feel as though Israel is the bad actor and they need to divest and they refuse to leave. The numbers of people who disagree with me and you is staggering. Does it make you down on the future generation of leaders in our country?”
"who are these people that are saying that they encourage that or they stand with Hamas? Man, I would kick ’em out of universities. This is unbelievable. This is hate speech."
He concluded, “The Jewish community, just everybody that’s for right and wrong should be absolutely opposed to this.”
well....a peaceful protest should not include spitting on Jewish students, blocking their path on their way to class, verbally (or worse) threatening them -- I do not see you oppose this -- what does that make you?

In America, it's legal to protest America but you will be arrested for protesting Israel
You can boycott America but in 30 states it's illegal to boycott Israel
Multiple states have made antisemitism illegal
Hate speech is legal. Threatening Jewish students, vandalism and trespassing aren't legal.
You're misunderstanding him, the "hate speech" is just telling Israel that they can't just kill whoever they want whenever they want. That's antisemitic.
Threatening is narrowly defined in US 1st amendment law. Calling for the genocide of someone's ethnicity is not illegal if it is not specific or immediately actionable.

So Republicans are anti-protest and pro-censorship of offensive (critical of Israel) political rhetoric? What a bunch of sellouts.
ANOTHER Republican governor and “free speech warrior” absolutely beclowning themselves.
Liberty-loving conservatives say free speech doesn't include "hate speech," and that political speech that veers into racism must be banned, without having the slightest clue how identical they are to the liberals they claim to loathe.
