A country, if threatened by a mutual power, should absolutely stand its ground. Super power countries should be just that, a super power and not stand down to any country and if it means war, it means war. But war shouldn't be necessary as most problems can be solved with long, strategic talks to improve life for both sides. Each side should benefit and no one should lose more than the other.
