Yeah, it sucks, but the Palestinians don’t OWE THEM anything for existing for the last several centuries in the area. If we’re restoring lands to the oldest population, give america back to the Indians, and give Hawaii back to its natives. The Jews didn’t even own the area for nearly as long as the Romans if we’re going to use that idea, so therefore, Italy gets to say what’s happening in that area. Palestine before the occupation of Israel was actually much more manageable in diplomatic terms, the British and Allies could’ve been a LOT better about that situation and we wouldn’t have even needed to worry all that much about the area. Seriously, your nationalism is very cherry-picked here, and if we must return land to those who owned it as of 30 AD, then please, let’s rearrange the entire planet while we’re at it, I’d LOVE to see Americans go back to Europe ALL OVER AGAIN.
There happens to be a difference between settlers bringing Christianity, civilisation, private property, free markets, free trade, rule of law, and the rights of Englishmen to barbarous and uneducated tribes, and barbarous and unenlightened Mohammedan extremists inflicting incalculable terrors and liabilities on a population that happened to possess most of these benefits, and still linger there today, sowing the seeds of terror with their violent cultism.
