Any business directly or indirectly owned by publicly traded stockholders, financed with public money of any kind including selling to public entities, or owned in any way by the public should not be able to refuse customers for their beliefs or an employee's beliefs. A truly private business should have the right to refuse service for their religious beliefs and other reasons not protected by non-religious public anti-discrimination laws. In general an effective business should make as much accommodation as possible and understand customers have the same right to refuse to do business with them.
