Why is the west so keen on emulating these countries? Why do we have a sizeable population who want to control others? When did we lose our love of freedom? We should stand as a shining example, not another **** hole country.

We were literally never a shining example while also having small government. Everyone else hated us or we were poor as heck, or even both.
