If they can't bother to learn english they shouldn't have bothered coming here

There is probably more to it than they just couldn't be bothered. Maybe they were unsafe in their country and had to move here to have a safer life, and they didn't have time to learn even basic English. We should help them learn rather than criticize them for coming to a place where they don't know the most common language.

Learning a language is hard to learn but coming to a new country could have been for different reasons and probably for reasons out of their control so it’s not their fault but they are trying.
