Do you think happiness is more closely tied to personal freedom or social responsibility, and why?

Defending personal freedom is one of the highest social responsibilities. There's a misconception that they're at war, but they're not. If you protect the rights of every individual within a society, that society will be prosperous and responsible. If you reject the rights of any individual who has not committed a crime, then society will be less prosperous and responsible.
