I struggle to come up with one single solitary thing the CDC and Fauci did that had a positive effect on outcomes at the societal level during COVID.

Sweden rejected the recommendations that Fauci and Collins made and Sweden had a far lower rate of COVID deaths than the US did.

“It turns out the six-feet social-distancing rule had no scientific basis.“

Neither did the lockouts, or the wearing of masks.

Never again.

But anyone with a contrarian view of Fauci was ridiculed and vilified for spreading "misinformation" by Leftist media - the enemy of America.

Positive recommendations. Even if the 6-foot rule isn’t necessarily the best way, it is a way, and a decent enough benchmark to get the point across. I’d prefer they explain the nuance as much as possible, but I have few qualms if they said that a random distance rule just “appeared.”

The vaccine saved 1M American lives.

Social media, including this comment section, being manipulated by organized groups.

 @LionRonnieConstitutionfrom Ohio commented…4mos4MO

Which organized groups specifically?

I am not part of an organized group, I just remember the massive civil rights violations, cruel hospital policies, and scientific fraud forced on me for years and I'm not letting it go.

Is it ethical for public health officials to use fear or inconvenience to enforce compliance with things like vaccine mandates?

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…4mos4MO

If the fear is unfounded, then no, it just causes the opposite effect in the face of skepticism, and when the effects aren’t as bad as they were told, then they start to distrust everything else. Inconveniences aren’t as much of a problem to me, nor do I consider them a terrible way to go around things.

Should individual freedom be prioritized over collective safety in times of a pandemic?
