I believe you satisfy a need within them. They find you appealing and they sense that you are a decent person. My 23-year-old grandson is the object of my 3-year-old nephew's intense affection. They have what we call a "bromance." Because his own father recently passed away in the military, I believe he views his older cousin as a father figure.
