What roles do you think empathy and compassion should play when discussing the rights and choices surrounding unplanned pregnancies?

I think that men shouldn't be making this decision for women because it doesn't effect them at all.

I think it depends on the severity of the situation. Sometimes there is no saving the baby, and sometimes the birth might be too complex and too hard and difficult to bare

Honestly, let the parents decide 50/50 mom and dads decision if one doesn’t then the baby is still born.

The government shouldn't ban abortion because there are times where abortion is a medical necessity.

I don't think any type of empathy and compassion should decide whether abortion is right or wrong, unless you decide to focus on all parties that are affected by the abortion, and whether you're affected or not. I think you also cannot say you have empathy about unborn children/fetus' if you don't care about the mother simply because she wants the abortion. You also can't say it's murder if you allow murder of other people just because you think it's ok. Especially the mother, who has to carry a child no matter what you believe, and we can't keep creating scenarios that create fear in women where they have to have babies, but if they are raped then they have to have it, it's somehow their fault, and they're committing sin by having a baby they didn't even want.
Overall I think abortion should be up to the mother, and no one else. Not family members, or the father of the child. I think all that should decide whether a person has a baby or an abortion is whether they can take care of it or not, unless they have children for religious reasons.
