There is no systemic racism against white people because we exist under a culturally white supremacist-dominated system. That's why the statistics routinely show a disparity against people of color, but not against white people. There is no structural threat against white people.

Secondly, "white people" is not even a real race, and "white culture" is also not a real thing. People have pale skin, sure, but what constitutes "white people" has changed throughout history, based solely on the white supremacist beliefs of an in-group vs the out-group. Italians wer… Read moree once not considered "white people", the Irish were once not considered "white people", even Benjamin Franklin had famously written about how German people were going to destroy the white culture in the American colonies by immigrating. "White people" has never been a real, tangible group, and has instead only ever been legitimized as a means of advancing white supremacist rhetoric by simply including whoever you can get against whichever people you deem inferior. Similarly, there is no "white culture", as it can only ever be defined by its exclusion of other cultures' characteristics. There is Italian culture, and Irish culture, and German culture, etc...but there is no "white culture" because "white people" are not a real group.

Thirdly, yes, all people should be able to be comfortable with themselves regardless of their race or physical characteristics. No one should be made to feel bad or guilty over the way they were born or the actions of other people outside of your control. The issue here is that people seem to think that that is what CRT is, but it isn't. No is actually telling children, or anyone, to be guilty for their race (other than maybe a few freaks on twitter or something who have no understanding of socio-political analysis). This is not a real thing that is happening, and especially not institutionally.

Lastly, "spreading our civilization" would be fine IF that didn't include the violent colonization of other people who didn't agree to it, because that is definitely something worth much more than just an apology over. Every civilization and peoples across time and space have created and invented, because that's just what people do; the issue is this implication that 1) only "white people" do that, and 2) the way "white people" do it is objectively good. Neither are true. For example, while Europe was going through their centuries-long religious turmoil of "the Dark Ages", much of the rest of the world was making huge advancements in agriculture, infrastructure, and medicine, with the Middle East actually having their "Golden Age" during this time, making a number of scientific and medical discoveries hundreds of years before Europe's Renaissance period. Additionally, despite popular belief, the natives in the Americas before European conquest were not just nomadic underdeveloped tribes living in teepees; there was actually a wide variety of cultures and civilizations with entire cities home to thousands of people, with some of the most advanced agricultural techniques ever developed (even today) and some had even build the largest man-made buildings in the world up until the creation of the skyscraper in the 1800s. The reason most people don't know about the developmental achievements of the rest of the world is because of our western society's white supremacist history in destroying and burying any ideas that defy the notion of white superiority.

It's unbelievable how ignorant you are. Look at the Affirmative Action programs the government pushes for both private and public hiring, prioritising minorities based upon no foundation but the colour of their skin over white people. The dictionary definition of racism is "prejudice against a certain ethnicity"? Prejudice galore! People should be hired because of hard-work, merit, morality, and other such considerations, not because of their skin-colour. To suggest otherwise is racist. It is possible to be racist against the majority ethnicity. And apparently, you're fine with that.

Did you know that according to the US Labor Department, the group of people that have benefited most from Affirmative Action since the 60's is actually white women? Secondly, Affirmative Action is what is known as "corrective legislation", meaning that it, as the name suggests, is legislation made to correct prevalent and preexisting… Read more structural errors, in this case: systemic racism and discrimination. Affirmative Action, admittedly just a bandaid solution to a larger problem, exists to attempt to correct for the disparities caused by racism and discrimination; it is BECAUSE there is racism and discrimination against minority groups in the first place that Affirmative Action is needed to step in and correct the disparity. Affirmative Action is meant to correct preexisting racism.

Thirdly, AA does not just "prioritize minorities based upon no foundation but the colour of their skin", it is (an imperfect bandaid solution) designed to assure that employers/recruiters/etc. cannot ignore qualified minorities and just select a bunch of qualified white guys. They still rely on the necessary qualifications and merits; it is not just pulling random minorities off the street to replace white people (which is an incredibly white supremacist argument).

Fourthly, even according to your own provided definition of racism, AA does not even fit that criteria, considering there is no prejudice involved. Even at the most basic level, enforcing regulations to tell employers they cannot just hire a bunch of white guys when there are plenty of other equally-qualified people is neither prejudiced nor racist...it is literally correcting the racism that is occurring.

Fifthly, yes, people should be hired on the basis of their hard work, merit, etc...but what happens if opportunities are not equal? Would that not create a disparity in who can afford certain qualifications, degrees, connections, etc.? If a certain group or groups are disproportionately disadvantaged, then how would you seek to rectify this? Personally, I would do something else other than AA, but I'm curious how you think we should solve an issue such as this..?

Sixthly, yes, of course you can commit an individual act of racism against a white person, the difference is simply that there is no structural racism against white people, because (along with "white people" not being a real racial group, as mentioned before) that kind of racism requires some form of structural violence against you, which white people do not have. No racism is good or okay, but to suggest that racism is the same against all groups is ignorantly and/or maliciously false.

Lastly, I will pose a question. As of 2022, the median white household income was around $81k and the median black household income was around $53k...so do you think this disparity is caused by intrinsic or extrinsic factors? If you think this disparity is caused by intrinsic factors, meaning that something about black people or "black culture" is inherently worse than whites, then you are definitionally racist; however, if you believe that this disparity is caused by extrinsic factors, meaning that there are factors outside of their control that cause a disproportionate outcome, then you believe in systemic racism, because that's what that is. So which is it..?
