you shouldn't ban guns from the public how are people going to defend themselves and their families if they cant get help in time

This is almost exactly what I have thought of. If people are willing to commit crimes with weapons then they will most definitely obtain them illegally. More restrictions on the people who will do nothing bad with weapons wont affect the issue.

i agree with this comment. the second amendment was instituted so the people could protect themselves from other citizens and they can also protect themselves against the government if it ever becomes tyrannical and tries to take out rights.

This is correct. Just like how drugs are illegal, they are still being bought illegally. It is the same thing. The criminals will buy there guns illegally. Guns can be used for the safety of others and your family. A mentally sane person who was taught how to use them will use a gun correctly. Long story short, I agree with this person.

Agree. It is too late to even consider the option of banning guns since there are more guns than people in this country. Taking away guns will only empower criminals and remove safety from the average American

There are other things people can use to defend themselves like knives. Banning guns would still show fewer guns being sold. Even if guns are gotten illegally, there would be less then if they were legal.

I partially agree with this statement. We as people should have the freedom to bear arms. To protect ourselves in any situation because it’s a right. If you ban guns people will still find ways to have them.

there will always be more firearms, and weapons in the making from undisclosed sources. Like the fact that people are successfully 3D Printing different custom made firearms is honestly extremely impressive just to say… but that’s what I mean, all because you take away guns from people does not necessarily mean that people cannot figure out other ways to create weapons that function correctly and are even more precise.

Plus how would you react if the government took all your resources to protect your home, family, and other assets…

I very strongly agree because we have seen in the past by making something illegal, you see an increase in the black market. If you make guns illegal all you effectively do is take a defense mechanism away from law abiding citizens and then allow criminals who acquire the firearms through illegal pathways to hurt innocent people.
