It isn't a child, it is a fetus, it has not begun life. Additionally, an unwanted child can destroy families, and forcing parents to care for an unwanted child will spur more problems than abortion.
@9GZLQHB7mos7MO
The problems are worth going through to bring a person to life.
They don't have a consciousness before they are born. The life of the parent is the most important thing. I'd rather they abort an embryo they are unable or unwilling to care for into adulthood, than a child be born and suffer for it.
@9GQZ4MLPeace and Freedom7mos7MO
If the women got raped it would traumatize her and if she didn't get an abortion she would know that she has a kid out there in the world unless she decides to keep it. My full opinion on this is, I don't believe in abortions, but if the women has a perfectly good reason to get one, she should be allowed to. It's her choice, not the governments or anyone else.
@9GQNLT37mos7MO
Abortion should always be a choice, a child’s life If pointless if the mother is unprepared or they are not fit to be a parents, or if rape is involved or any other circumstance, the woman carrying the child should always have the choice
@9GQNLM37mos7MO
Women shouldn't be forced into giving birth which can destroy their bodies and possibly kill them. The mother's decision should be hers to make and if she isn't ready then she shouldn't be forced into it.
@9GS4NNB7mos7MO
It should be a woman's choice because it is her body. Removing cells before they form into a human being for the better of the actual human being carrying the cells isn't punishing the child, because there is no child.
@9GZC8R77mos7MO
I believe that no woman should be forced to give birth to a child that is unwanted and non-consensual.
@9GQNXJH7mos7MO
I believe that it is up to the women who are having the children to do what they want with their body because they would be the ones raising. They would be teaching the child life lessons and how to survive in society and most of time, they are not supported by their family or the courts are not in their favor if a trauma has happened to them. If someone wants to bring a child into this life, people will not stop them but shame them fr bringing a child into the world. If someone does not want to bring a child into this world, people would force them to think of what could've been and what they are doing to their child. No one should have a say in what a woman should do with her body when it comes to birth because she will be risking her life and pushing that child out of her.
@9GQQJGK7mos7MO
Then who would adopt these children if they were unwanted by either parent? Plus, not every mother or pregnant person could afford a sudden pregnancy like this, especially if the child was conceived into early adulthood of either parent. Also, this crime, depending on what this stance is implying, are most of the time not the mother's fault.
@9GZL2C87mos7MO
Woman have rights over their body it is their fetus and they should not be forced to raise or give birth to a child because other people think it is wrong for them to abort it
@9GS2LH47mos7MO
If the child is still in the womb it is not its own life yet, it is not fair to have this standard and then disregard the mothers life in exchange for the fetus., This statement is a product of bias not reason, and not ethics.
@9GQNYHS7mos7MO
But for someone who is raped or had unwanted sex, they should be able to not have to take care of a baby that comes from a situation that was extremely dark for them.
@9GV5RFG7mos7MO
In the first few weeks of conception the fetus is not viable form of life. it is not human, just cells.
@9GV6H357mos7MO
The life of a women who is actually alive and walking on earth is more worthy of rights and choices than an u born fetus. Which is not a life in my opinion to begin with.
@9GV4VVY7mos7MO
some people aren't fit to be parents and the child shouldn't have to suffer because they were forced to be born. people should worry about taking care of the foster system whom laready has kids in suffering that are alive instead of forcing unfit parents to birth a baby who has no clue of whats going on
@9GQRGTW7mos7MO
Cases of incest, rape, and other horrific incidents should not be treated the same as two consenting adults.
@9GQNCXQWomen’s Equality7mos7MO
A woman should not be punished for sexual assault from a man, they should not have to live and support the thing that hurts them the most.
@9GT3F477mos7MO
There are many situations where abortion is a necessary procedure. If abortion is banned, this puts the lives of several mothers at risk for situations such as ectopic pregnancy, incest, and severe birth defects where the child has no quality of life.
@9GS3Z9M7mos7MO
If a thirteen year old is impregnated with a child that is conceived by rape then she should have to choice on whether she would like to keep it or not. Every time she looks at the infant all the memories of that traumatic event will come flooding back.
@9HLDR7K 6mos6MO
Women and other people who can become pregnant should have the right to legally procure an abortion if they so choose. Republicans and Conservatives like to use the argument “if we ban guns criminals will still be able to acquire guns,” well the same applies for abortion. If abortion is illegal it can still be acquired although in an illegal and unsafe fashion, think back alley abortions.
@9H2F9F67mos7MO
As a women you should be able to decide in the first three month if you want to be pregnant or not. Sometimes it is just the case that children dont know enough about it and then they ruin their life with it.
@9HHVC6R6mos6MO
A fetus is not a child, does not have a conscience, and cannot live on its own. Why are pro-lifers more concerned with an underdeveloped cluster of cells rather than the fully developed adult carrying that fetus? The pregnant woman should have full rights and agency over her body.
@9GQV6J97mos7MO
taking away the option of abortion is taking a woman's right to choose what she does with her own body. it's not right to take away someone's right to choose over a fetus (not a child, a fetus). it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, a woman still has the right to choose. personally, I wouldn't get an abortion but I definitely support other woman's decision to get them because it's their bodies, not mine.
In this socioeconomic age, it is very much okay to do what you want as an adult with your body. Bearing children is a grueling and sometimes not feasible thing to carry out. To force someone to bear a child is inhumane.
A fetus has no awareness nor does it have any life experiences to draw upon. It doesn’t deserve an equal amount of agency as a fully developed person.
@9GXYWHQ7mos7MO
A life is not a life until it has a heartbeat, so termination of pregnancy would not be considered killing a baby if it has not yet formed into one.
@9GXYZWH7mos7MO
A soon to be parent who thinks they are unfit to properly take care of the child should be able to abort it if they feel it is the best option
@9GWS7N77mos7MO
A life is a life once its born. If its alive before birth then women should be allowed to have life insurance for their child before birth.
@9GR6XBD7mos7MO
I agree, however, you have a certain amount of time to know you are pregnant before the heart is beating. So women should have the choice to get an abortion til a certain time. If the baby is dying and it can hurt the mother carrying it then you should be able to get an abortion no matter how late into your pregnancy you are.
@9GR5CCC7mos7MO
I believe that the parents should be able to choose. A kid shouldn't be able to pay for their parents crimes. For example kids of rape and incest.
@9GR4HQ97mos7MO
Those children will never know because when women have abortions, the babies arent even fully developed yet and do not have a brain or a heart.
@9GQNYQRLibertarian7mos7MO
The mother or father of the child will not be as inclined to take care and love the child, as it is a constant reminder of the trauma and pain they had to endure.
A life lived through a rape would not be a good life anyways. If we only care about a a baby in the womb, then once they are born, their parents may not want to raise them. This will lead to people having kids they hate, and they may end up hurting them out of hatred, or neglecting them because they never wanted the kid to begin with.
@9GVXFLB7mos7MO
Some people cannot afford to give a child a good life. We will just be adding to the broken Foster Care system
@9GSZWYM7mos7MO
The fetus is not yet conscious therefore they will not feel any sense of life being taken away from them, as they are not alive.
@9GRZPCBLibertarian7mos7MO
They're not children yet. Even so, their parents didn't commit any crimes just for getting pregnant. The mother was here first and deserves her right just as much, if not more than the POSSIBLE child.
@9GS3HNJ7mos7MO
I agree with this question. I believe that abortion is murder and that abortion should be completely outlawed across the board.
@9HHG6LWWomen’s Equality6mos6MO
That is a dumb answer, the parent should have to raise a kid because they were rapped. Abortion is better than a neglected child
What are the crimes that the parents have committed? Sex? are there exceptions for rape, what about assault, what about sex under the influence?
@9GQNMXQProgressive7mos7MO
Parents arent always in the best position to raise a child and if that child were to be born it would get thrown into the very broken adoptive system in the U.S.
That is ridiculous. The cells in a woman's body are not a life, neither are they aware of life. These cells are not being punished.
@9GV325QIndependent7mos7MO
if the parent is unable to provide for the child why would you put the parents and child through that.
A child has no mental consciousness before it is born; the child doesn’t exist if an abortion is performed on it. The potential life of a child is less important than the existing life of the parent.
@9GQX44G7mos7MO
Put the parents raise their children how they were raised so eventually the children will do the same crime because of their parents.
