This does not address the cost of living crisis or inflation which has drastically changed our world

I think minimum wage should be raised for adults but lowered for people under 18, or provide proof that they are a provider for someone so they can have an increase in minimum wage

Minimum wage jobs are intended for experience in the workforce, you are not meant to flip burgers at McDonald’s for the rest of your life. I do think that the minimum wage should be increased or decreased according to inflation and deflation but not a drastic jump to $15 or $20 per hour

The minimum wage is not just for teenagers. Roughly 80% of adults work a minimum wage job full time. A better solution than raising the minimum wage would be to implement a UBI (Universal Basic Income) that provides a baseline for a household based on their cost of living (being paid for by increasing taxes on those who have a disproportionate amount of wealth compared to there labor value. This would allow for a greater equity in society.

Most minimum wage jobs are meant to develop experience for people who are looking to develop different skills.

Imagine your working 40 hours a week, and only getting paid 300$ per paycheck. It’s unfair, its annoying, and overall just doesn’t make sense. It just shows laziness in our government.

You should have an income that is capable of supporting a family because some 14yr olds do have to support families and if you dont then you might as well save the money for college
