if you want to help people- do it without prejudice.
i am totally for holding families accountable for Scamming the system for years on end, but i also don't think that CUTTING OFF food and supplies to already struggling families
could ever be a legitimate plan of action. The cost of drug tests are ridiculous... the resentment, anger, and distrust that would pop up in communities once folks found out they could be randomly searched and tested..it goes without saying that there is no dignity in that. It also goes to say that citizens WITH jobs aren't using drugs just as much, if not equally or more than this demographic alone.
it's wonderful to offer addiction resources to communities... it's wonderful to make narcan available in higher risk communities or families who have opiates prescribed... but none of these people woke up and decided..
you know today is the day i wanna make my life just really difficult. just remember that
