Do you think it's important for a country to prioritize its own citizens' wellbeing over global cooperation, and why?
@9H8WTT7Republican5mos5MO
Yes because without citizens there wouldn't be a country.
It is ideally the purpose of a government and country to serve its population to the best of its ability, however it has been demonstrated that cooperation and solidarity produces greater results than nationalism or isolationism.
@9H8NZYDRepublican5mos5MO
Yes, because America's first priority should always be its citizens, not the citizens of another country.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
Can you describe a moment when you felt particularly proud of a cultural aspect or tradition unique to your country?
@9JS5WCG3mos3MO
When the U.S gets attacked by some foreign power or organization (I.E Japan and Al-Qaeda), everyone in the U.S decides to put away their differences and fight whoever attacked them.
@9JSB6FG3mos3MO
Look at 9/11. While at first majority of America wanted to attack back, it lead to a huge divide within our country because of conspiracy theories not to mention the false war it started.
@9JS4TCS3mos3MO
I love how most states are standing with Texas on the border crisis.
@9JS49C23mos3MO
I love my country even if we do some horrible things. I have in many cases expressed how I am proud to be an American because of the rich diversity and culture!
@9JS5B4Z3mos3MO
dominican independence day, everyone meets up and celebrates

What makes you optimistic or pessimistic about your nation's direction, and how does that impact you personally?
@9KHVGG42mos2MO

@9KHYFFV 2mos2MO
The currently political climate has shown a severe gap in education and extreme gullibility of a large portion of our country. Those afflicted by these descriptors are also the ones to be vocal and vote against the rest of the country's attempts to improve their lives. Basic logic and reasoning should be mandatorily taught at very young ages to prevent indoctrination and such negative consequences. Politics should also stop being a business of corporations and the ultra-wealthy to keep the lowest "IQed" Americans voting against their own interests to keep the oligarchy in place.
@9KHW8VD2mos2MO
With the way everything in the US right now is Left versus right, I am quite pessimistic. I'm not exactly the most positive of American, so nationalism could end up being dangerous.
@9KHWZZR2mos2MO
With the 2024 presidential election coming up and the options being Biden and Trump, all hell will break lose. Why is the only options someone who no one will listen to and a man with 91 felonies??? Nothing will be getting done with Biden being president because all the republicans immediately disagree with him. And with Trump he's gonna make project 2025 a thing and this country is gonna become a dictatorship because everyone kisses Trumps behind.
@9KHVN9H2mos2MO
Our Nation has veered towards split between democrats and republicans. It is no longer the love for the country, but more a love for ones political party, and moral stances.
@9KHZWW22mos2MO
People are too obsessed with the right vs left mentality and other parties and ideas should become more popular, everything feels too divided.
@9K8N8RV2mos2MO
The last president we had wasn't very good and caused a raid of the capital, which caused my family and I not to be able to get a tour of the capital when we went on vacation in South Dakota.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
When has your country come together in a way that made you proud, and what was the result of that unity?
@9KHVHFX2mos2MO
During football games in the middle of fall we had a USA out and football games are always a time when everyone comes together, win or loss to end the game out on a good note.
@9KHYBDV2mos2MO
I was prided in how many were unified against Russian imperialism. We have sent aid to those affected.
@9KHVYSY2mos2MO
After the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon on September 11th 2001. The unity of Americans after President Clinton showed respect and care for the people.
@9KHVCX82mos2MO
when women had rights on their bodies taken away or when people of color needed help a lot of people came together to support and stand for justice.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
Can one be fully integrated into your nation’s culture while maintaining their original cultural identity, and what does that look like for you?
@9KHT8PM2mos2MO
I think so, if you are still able to be unique while still completely supporting your country. Im not very nationalist when it comes to politics.
@9KHTLNC2mos2MO
Yes you can maintain your culture. A Mexican cooking Mexican food or dressing differently is perfectly fine.
@9KHT9L22mos2MO
Yes because most national culture is not in close ties with traditional culture of a persons
@9KHTYKWAmerican Solidarity2mos2MO
We are Americans first and foremost, foreign individuals and immigrants should conform to our values and traditions that does not mean abandon their own but instead to build upon them. people who say we are a nation of immigrants have their head in the past we have had 300 years to develop a blood, nation, identity, traditions and values, these should be respected not ignored.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
How do the languages spoken within your country shape your national identity and perception of unity?
@9KHTT392mos2MO
The more languages the more countries and ethnicities that have come together and integrated each other into our communities.
@9KHTCW42mos2MO
it show me that we all come from different background but that is what makes us united
@9KHSMNK2mos2MO
Their are my languages spoken and it is very dear to most people
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
How do you think technology is changing the way national identity is experienced by younger generations?
@9KHWSVG2mos2MO
becasue there is a lot of wrong information that gets spread
@9KHVH5X2mos2MO
no one can be social in any aspect, not one child i know is able to hold a conversation, they also don't have friends in real life.
@9KHWBKN2mos2MO
Its making it easier for kids to be noticed on social media because of the apps and etc.
@9KHW43X2mos2MO
Yes, technology's improvement over the years has majorly impacted how out national identity is seen by the public not only younger generations.
@ISIDEWITH1mo1MO
Why might someone feel fully integrated into your country's culture and yet retain a strong sense of their original identity?
@9LF2VWS1mo1MO
Because they've lived in a different country all their life until moving here.
@9LF2TNPRepublican1mo1MO
Because they have a connection to their original place.
@9LF2MHG1mo1MO
Its part of their culture and it should be celebrated. They should be able to feel comfortable celebrating it in your country.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
What role do you think your nation should play in addressing international challenges like climate change or humanitarian crises?
@9HZPWC84mos4MO
America should be a leader, but not shoulder all the responsibility.
@9HZPWL94mos4MO
I think that the USA, as a world leader, should be the first to initiate practices in these all too important challenges that plague not only our country, but the entire world.
@9HZPSSX4mos4MO
It is simple literally, America needs to focus on America before it can focus on Israel or Ukraine.
@9HZRMMJ4mos4MO
