If the company takes precautions, drilling in the Alaska Wildlife Refuge would have a limited effect on the local environment. This means there is no need for these regulations

We need to have a safe area for animals and if we are ruining an area that they have lived in their whole lives it wouldn't be fair

it has been proven that the prossess will increase global warming, even the fact they said that "we will just refreeze the ice" I call bull.

Alaska is gorgeous and needs to be protected. We cannot reverse the environment. The whole POINT of a refuge is to protect the land and make sure it is a safe space for those unique and wild animals.

 @9LQ5F42Republican from Utah agreed…1wk1W

The animals environment is a big deal, when we move in and flatten the tree to make room for our housing and shopping centers, for our roads and schools, the animals are being pushed further and further out of THEIR homes! The whole point behind making a wildlife refuge is making a space that is safe and entirely left untouched for the critters, rodents, big game, and fowl of the earth. By allowing drilling in the Alaska wildlife refuge we are bending the rules just a little. And by bending a little one like this, people will push to bend bigger ones.

Alaska is considered the Last Frontier. There are many parts of it that are untouched. Nature is precious. And we have lost that sense of beauty.

There are many things that drilling for oil affects, this includes, but is not limited to pollution of air and water, oil spills, and respiratory issues.

 @9LXX3PVDemocrat from Illinois agreed…3 days3D

if they start to drill then it will become more populated and produce more pollution in the form of trash that will affect the delicate ecosystem there. we do not need it, we have many areas of untapped resources that we can use that are in a less secluded and wild area. is was made into a refuge for a reason and that is to keep it pristine from humans

 @9GH8MPB from Washington agreed…6mos6MO

A lack of drilling on these wildlife refuges will encourage tourism in the area, improving the local economy, and maintain the untrammeled beauty in the area.

 @9FLQ688 from Virginia agreed…7mos7MO

It's a wildlife refuge. It should be kept as wild as possible. We don't have much pure wilderness anymore.

 @9F7N7JL from New York agreed…8mos8MO

as a planet we need to preserve as much nature and wildlife as we can to help save the planet we live on

 @9FVZTPGWomen’s Equality from Virginia agreed…7mos7MO

Alaska is the fastest-warming state in the country, according to the most recent National Climate Assessment. The last thing Alaskans need is more carbon-emitting infrastructure.

I believe that the exploration of resources should be expanded throughout the world. This will in turn provide more gas, minerals, and jobs to the world for us to prosper. The government should however regulate and fund the technology used for these ventures to prevent oil spills, wildfires, etc.

 @9M2HHMD from Idaho agreed…16hrs16H

Right now Alaska is a safe place for animals to live. But if we went there to start drilling it would become unsafe for them to live there.

 @9LZ8PKP from Illinois agreed…2 days2D

We have killed off alot of animals that are now extinct we should just leave the refuge alone it literally is a refuge
