How has a compromise between individual freedom and community responsibility played out in your own experiences?

 @9LBLJRTRepublican from Wisconsin answered…1mo1MO

I have not seen much on how it has played out but i'm sure it had an impact on a lot of other citizens.

 @9LBLPGXDemocrat from Massachusetts answered…1mo1MO

I strongly believe that John Lockes beliefs are a good example to follow when coming up with rights.

 @9LBLWCL from Texas answered…1mo1MO

People have been focusing more on individual rights and not as much on community responsibility, which isn't good.

 @9LBLZ9K from Texas answered…1mo1MO

the compromise between individual freedom and community responsibility has been demonstrated in personal experience through activities such as community service, highlighting the practical application of classical liberalism

How do you think a hands-off government would change the way our neighborhoods solve common problems?

 @9KY6LGG from Washington answered…2mos2MO

Problems would be solved at every level in a far juster, more ethical way. No aggression, coercion, theft, or force, would be involved. Individuals would voluntarily solve problems together.

 @9KHRJ8X from Texas answered…2mos2MO

it would be much easier for the people because we know what exactly is going on around us so the problems could find a better solution with the people not the government.

 @9KHRMQS from North Carolina answered…2mos2MO

I think a "hands-off government" would allow more people to have freedom in their communities, but it would hinder what the government could do on a local level. Problems on a local level are the community business, however, if things get to escalate then the government of the state or national government should intervene. More violence would become involved if the government was more hands-off.

 @9KHR5DH from Minnesota answered…2mos2MO

It would give us a sort of independence to figure out our own problems and fix them before the government has to be involved

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3mos3MO

In your opinion, what are the limits of free expression in a diverse and interconnected world?

 @9KHRF2Y from Wisconsin answered…2mos2MO

One should be allowed to express any and all opinions they have to someone who wants to hear those opinions. Spouting random opinions to someone who does not want to hear them is unneeded and aggressional.

 @9KHQZV2Libertarian from Missouri answered…2mos2MO

limits of free expression could be involving the BLM movement in a diverse and interconnected world.

 @9KHRHWK from North Carolina answered…2mos2MO

The limits of free expression I think should be what they are right now.

How do you think the internet has affected our perception of personal freedom and privacy?

 @9JCVLR2Progressive from California answered…4mos4MO

I think the internet has affected our perception of medical conditions that could be shared without your consent or your banking data could be made available to third parties.

 @9JCVGK3 from Oklahoma answered…4mos4MO

There is no privacy any more and too many people claim personal freedom.

 @9JCVP3YPeace and Freedom from Florida answered…4mos4MO

When I think of personal freedom in the internet, I think of it as in a way of being fake. I think everyone follows trends or things that other people are wearing, they can't express themselves through things they like but things they see in the online, and as for privacy, I think we have seen right about everything on the internet and it's no surprise anymore.

What's more important to you, collective well-being or individual success, and can both be achieved simultaneously?

 @9KY6LGG from Washington answered…2mos2MO

Individual success and collective well-being go hand-in-hand. If individuals are happy, prosperous, and free, so too will the society they live in by happy, prosperous, and free.

 @9HGQ8TNGreen from North Carolina answered…5mos5MO

Collective well-being is more important to me, because the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. But I do believe that through limited measures, both can be achieved.

What freedoms are most important when you think about your future, and how would you protect them?

 @9HTFWHX from Michigan answered…5mos5MO

I would protect all of the constitutional rights BESIDES the right to bear arms. I would protect it by reinforcing legislation on it.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Would you support a system where the government provides less but you pay fewer taxes, and why?

 @9KY6LGG from Washington answered…2mos2MO

Absolutely. In fact, I'd support a system where the government provides nothing and taxes me nothing. That's my vision for a free society. It happened in the 1800s, under the Jeffersonians Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe. Zero internal taxation with the exception of a brief re-introduction to finance the War of 1812. Then it was back to zero taxation till 1860. We didn't even have a Welfare State till FDR. During that time was there chaos and disorder? No, during that time we grew into the most prosperous and liberty-orientated States the world has ever seen. The greatest economy in history. That's my vision, and it's the only way to be truly free and prosperous again.

 @9HL95KF from California answered…5mos5MO

 @9HL96J9 from Idaho answered…5mos5MO

Yes I would support that. I think the government is getting too involved.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

Do you think people are inherently responsible enough to thrive without strict government rules?

 @9KY6LGG from Washington answered…2mos2MO

If people can't be trusted to govern themselves, why should we trust them to govern other people as well?

 @9H9H6CFcommented…6mos6MO

No, I believe the situation could quickly get out of hand with less government rules. If people are breaking laws right and left as it is now, imagine a world with even less laws! Very chaotic!

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Can you share an experience where you had to fight for a right you believe in, and how did it unfold?

 @9J3ZZ8C  from California answered…4mos4MO

I have had to independently fight to not vaccinate my child until an older age, due to an older sibling being diagnosed with Autism, non verbal, ADHD with symptoms and diagnosis after the child's vaccinations. prior the child was not showing signs of Autism or neurodivergent tendencies.

This is still an ongoing battle due to current laws on vaccination, so my child will continue to follow a homeschool module.

 @9KY6LGG from Washington answered…2mos2MO

I fought for my rights by boycotting woke companies. I was wildly successful, helping to inflict hundreds of millions in losses with my fellow lovers of liberty and virtue on Target and Bud Light. Amazon, we're coming for you next.

 @9J3ZZKK  from California answered…4mos4MO

I've signed many successful petitions to get justice for wrongly convicted people.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…4mos4MO

Where in society do you see the greatest need for less government involvement, and how would people's lives improve?

 @9KY6LGG from Washington answered…2mos2MO

The economy and foreign policy. End the Fed. Return to the Gold Standard. Abolish taxes. Dismantle the Welfare State. Bring the troops home. End the forever wars. Promote peace and prosperity, they go hand-in-hand.

 @9JCZ9CY from Georgia answered…4mos4MO

The government needs to be less involved in the intimate privacy of its citizens. It is a persons right to be able to govern their own body and homes and for no reason should the government have a say unless there is a threat at hand.

 @9JCZ5MBRepublican  from Georgia answered…4mos4MO

I think the government should be less involved with what we do in general. The people truly hold the power and they need to be reminded that.
