What is more important to you: protecting your digital footprint or enjoying personalized digital services?

 @9J6XY5F from California answered…4mos4MO

 @9J6XL2JIndependent from Kansas answered…4mos4MO

Protecting your digital footprint is easily more important than personalization. If we start prioritizing personalization then we are destroying innovation and openness, and we are making ourselves stay in these echo chambers. If everything we read and see is personal then we will never hear another person's opinion or views. This also ruins empathy since we lose our connection to other people.

How does the idea of governments tracking online behavior make you feel about your own internet use?

 @9HW25PJ  from Texas answered…4mos4MO

Tracking online behavior can and will stop a number of criminals, but that's all it should be used for. Not for advertising or to make people feel unsafe about their technology.

 @9J2K7J6 from Michigan agreed…4mos4MO

People have the right to be private unless they're trying to find someone who is criminal. If you have not done anything wrong, you should not be watched by them.

 @9J2DTBX from Minnesota agreed…4mos4MO

Citizens should have a right to privacy. Unless it is in the name of public or national safety, their privacy shouldn't be infringed.

 @9HW5NDSIndependent from West Virginia answered…4mos4MO

I do not do anything I shouldn't on the internet but I do not like that someone would be and probably already monitoring everything that I do. It freaks me out how I can be talking about something and then ads start appearing on my personal device soon after I discuss it.

 @9HXD3B3 from Georgia agreed…4mos4MO

They should be some privacy for people on the internet to do as they please, but if specific websites or such that the government does not want people on they should keep an eye on.

How would you balance the rights of individuals to privacy online with national security concerns?

 @9H7TYNQIndependent from California answered…6mos6MO

I feel like the individual privacy on the internet should be a bigger deal because as time goes on many things starts to transition from real life to internet. Many sensitive stuff is on there and some should not be seen by even the internet provider. But for national security is a tough case maybe for government official they can have the key to the information stored on the computer but maybe not too much.

 @9H7TWM7 from Utah answered…6mos6MO

Net neutrality is important, and everyone's privacy online should be protected, even if its piracy, as its a victimless crime.

 @9H7TT7LRepublican from Arkansas answered…6mos6MO

I think online privacy is a big deal. Everyone should have access to national online security.

 @9H754XTfrom North Dakota answered…6mos6MO

Companies are no better than internet pirates. But yes, pirating is wrong and shouldn’t be done.

Pirating should not be considered a crime; most streaming services are wayyyy too expensive and barely pay their artists a livable wage. Hate speech should be banned. Websites and apps would not be allowed to mine data.
