You believe that nonviolence and peaceful resolution of conflicts can lead to a harmonious and just society.
Pacifism is a political ideology that fundamentally opposes war and violence as a means of settling disputes. It is rooted in the belief that peaceful means must always be sought after in resolving conflicts, and that war is inherently destructive and morally indefensible. Pacifists argue that violence, even in self-defense, is morally wrong and that peaceful negotiation, diplomacy, and nonviolent resistance should be the primary means of addressing conflicts.
The history of pacifism is as old as human civilization itself, with traces of pacifist ideas found in ancient Indian religion…

What would it take for you to join a peaceful protest, and what cause would you stand for?
@9KN7Z7N2mos2MO
It wouldn’t take much for me to join. I’d protest for world peace.
@9KN7WHV2mos2MO
I believe war is stupid, so most of the time I agree with pacifism.
@9KN7VPNWomen’s Equality2mos2MO
When the rights of women and girls in education are threatened, and I would stand up for that cause.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
How would your outlook on conflicts change if world leaders solved disputes like your favourite teacher resolves classroom disagreements?
@9JSDXZ33mos3MO
I would be less concerned about the danger to those who are not and should not be involved in the conflic
@9JVMHDHRepublican3mos3MO
Because it is such a small class compared to worldly involvements it would be nice to just pick out the bad guys and put them in timeout but it is just not that simple
@88YT2FZ 3mos3MO
The world political stage is not a classroom. This is an inaccurate and overly simplistic comparison. There are far more factors involved than a simple classroom debate/argument would involve. Primarily among them, everyone (or almost everyone) in that classroom grew up in the same nation, with the same language, familiar cultures, and known ideologies. This is absolutely not true on the world stage.
I think the U.S and other countries would be able to resolve conflict in a peaceful manner if they dealt with disagreement the way my teacher would
@9JSDYL33mos3MO
I think that everything would be more calm for a while and nothing new would come up Yk. Like they’re wouldn’t be the same conflict over and over.

What actions do you think young people can take to foster a culture of peace in their daily lives?
@9JL6RRC4mos4MO
Their parents should teach them to be polite, mind their own business, and follow the non-agression principle.
@9JLQNTL4mos4MO
Because if I teach my child to mind their own business and to be polite they will be less likely to be picked on or in trouble most definitely in somebody's business.
@9JL7FF44mos4MO
Young people can foster peaceful ideas in today's society by advocating for peace treaties and meetings between political representatives before resorting to war.
@9JL6TCD4mos4MO
Try to talk things out before resorting to fighting.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How would you handle a situation where you're being physically threatened, without resorting to violence?
@8RQ55J4 6mos6MO
Its okay to use violence for defence of self or others but only then
@TruthHurts1016mos6MO
And you do not believe that there have been wars, such as WWII where Hitler tried to exterminate the entire Jewish people and take over the world, where self-defence is precisely what a declaration of war was issued in the spirit of?
@9H7B6T36mos6MO
I would try to talk to the person as best I could and try to get help from others around or others that I can contact.
@9H7B2346mos6MO
Evidence and witnesses of an individual that has experienced repeated incidences of physical or verbal abuse who has remained a pacifist under such circumstances should be provided protection services without a fee.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
In what ways could leaders of countries learn from conflicts you've resolved peacefully in your own life?
@9HVHBXS5mos5MO
From whatever conflicts were resolved, learn from it and keep going.
@9HVHBF75mos5MO
Have patience, forgiveness, empathy, and don't chase greed.
@9HVHNLT5mos5MO
leaders of countries could put others needs before theirs and learn to stop being greedy when it comes to wanting more .
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
What would your ideal peaceful world look like, and how far do you think we are from achieving it?
@9HXC8R2Women’s Equality4mos4MO
My ideal peaceful world would be everyone is equal. What I mean by that is we all get paid the same for doing the same job, we all get the same punishment for the same crime, etc. I feel like everyone in the world is misunderstood because we don't take the time to try and understand each other. So that could also be a start.
@9HXCBXB4mos4MO
I think we are quite far we fight over the most trivial things
@9HXDBFL4mos4MO
A peaceful world would not be dictated by religion, skin color, or financial standing. All countries would have no need for a large military, and would instead focus on other advancements such as cancer, space exploration, global warming, and poverty.
unfortunately, I think there will never be peace by these means. The only "peace" the world will ever see will most likely be filled with tension as one world power will try to hold the power, while another will attempt to rise up and take its place.
@9HXCCY44mos4MO
A peaceful would be when there is no longer any wars or major disagreements that can lead to wars like a terrorist attack or an assassination.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
Do you think a world without any military forces could exist peacefully, or would it invite chaos?
@9H7ZZ7N6mos6MO
I believe that even with military forces not existing there will still be chaos as its in our human nature to want more which is exactlty why we have wars and cant really be peaceful.
@9H829YD6mos6MO
it would involve chaos because it would allow other countries to invade others
Chaos because there would be no threat to terrorists or organizations who cause harm to dissuade them from causing harm to people.

@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How do you approach conversations with people who have drastically different viewpoints to avoid conflict?
@9HZBT3H4mos4MO
I like to be agreeable, but if their stance goes against my morals, I will listen but probably not change my viewpoint. When they don't have logos in their point, I will listen, but I don't respond well with pathos.
@9HZBKRX4mos4MO
To not say anything but understand that everyone has opinions and not everyone will agree on everything.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How can we create a culture where nonviolent approaches are valued and promoted in schools and communities?
@9HDNCR56mos6MO
I feel like violence comes from the homes and bad parenting we need to teach our kids good character and the right and wrong acts of life.
@9HDN69KIndependent6mos6MO
Promote culture and teach students to respect eachoother
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
What role do you feel compassion plays in resolving conflicts, and how do you practice it?
@9KCYKZR3mos3MO
Peaceful protests that are forcefully ended with violence are a testament to who is more mature.
@9KCYDD33mos3MO
Things that resolve conflicts is not to get involved and just to do your own thing but if you get dragged into conflict, the best way to resolve it is to not make it worse by arguing or threatening.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Imagine everyone in your school chose nonviolence for a day; how do you think the atmosphere would change?
@9HXCBC24mos4MO
there would be less fights and people would get along.
