That sounds very conspiracy theory style, but whistleblowers should be protected simply because the information they have may be useful and could expose a worse side of a group.

corporations and governments need to be accountable for their actions, they should also be more transparent for what they are doing, whistleblowers allow the people to know the bad things happening behind closed doors
